Is 1-0 Baseball game boring?
So I hear it all over the radio this morning about people tweeting how boring the Red Sox vs. Tigers was because only 1 run was scored. Really? I can understand how a lack of offense may not be what some fans prefer. That want hitting, home runs, plays at the plate, etc. I love all that as well. For me though, I love a great pitchers dual. Especially when it is against two potent offenses like the Red Sox and Tigers. A pitchers dual is one of the best games I love to watch. It keeps the game close. 1-2 runs can feel like it is 10-0. Watching a couple pitchers make great pitches in a tight ball game is very exciting. It keeps me curious because I want to see which pitcher will last longer. Who is going to be the first to make a mistake. Because in a game like that, only 1 mistake could cost a team the whole game. This postseason has already been pretty exciting. We have a great shot at seeing a rematch of the '06 World Series with the Cardinals vs. Tigers if they can defeat their counterparts. Boston is primed and ready to get back to the World Series and they are an exciting ball club to watch. It's almost as if they can throw out any starter and they have the potential to throw a complete game. Today we have both games scheduled and they should be exciting to see. More on the postseason later....
