Useful Information

I read this article that was pretty interesting. Back injuries which include sprains and strains, are the number one disability for people under the age of 45. It is estimated that 80% of the population will experience an episode of low back pain some time in their lives. 5% of which will go one to develop chronic low back pain, and that account for about 10% of all chronic health conditions in the U.S.

I know many people who have back pain all the time and the main problem is when lifting, they use their back to lift instead of their knees. If your knees are in bad shape and you do not use them to lift weight then you probably should not. Be lift anything anything heavy in the first place.

It can calculate how many calories you consumer and how many calories you burn as well. It is a basic wristband and all you need to do is wear it on your wrist all day everyday. Great product, great reviews and I will be purchasing one soon. Nike.com/fuelband

OKC Thunder advance!

Personally I was hoping for the Spurs to win this series. Nothing against the Thunder, they are a great young team a d a really nice future ahead of them. I grew up watching the Spurs so they were my home favorite. But after probably the first three minutes of the third quarter the momentum just took a sudden shift and right there I knew that the OKC Thunder were not going back to San Antonio. I couldn't help but watch as the spurs completely fell apart. The Spurs were up by 18 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Poor Tony Parker was the complete opposite performer as he was in the first half. Parker came into the second half with 21 points ad finished the second half with only 8 more. Duncan was good but not consistent with a respectable 25 points. Steven Jackson was impressive with 63-point fg's in a row. "The third quarter, it was like playing in mud," Spurs coach Greg Popvich said. In all honesty the OKC Thunder deserved the victory. They played hard and did not buckle. I hope the Miami Heat will advance to the finals because that will be a really great and exciting matchup for the finals. Three superstars on each team, James, Wade and Bosh versus Durant (my opinion on the MVP), Westbrook and Hardin. Also, I am going to go ahead and call it, Eric Spoelstra WILL get fired if the Miami Heat do not win it all this year.

Who can you rely on

Even though the Miami Heat won this ball game tonight, I would just like to point out that Erik Spoelstra does not have anyone to rely on when it comes to clutch situations. Neither Dwayne Wade or LeBron James are not clutch performers. When unsay clutch I am talking about the final possession o the ball game and you have one last hot to win the game. Wade has proved it before and James confirmed it tonight. The only good thing about this I that the Miami Heat are good enough to not be a clutch situation. They are able to have a two or more possession lead when the game clock winds down that they will not have to be in a clutch situation...as long as that defense holds up in the 2 minutes of the ball game.

Spurs take game 1

In a game 1 matchup of youth versus experience it would be the latter who would take the win on this one. By the 3rd quarter the Spurs would see themselves down by double digits. The Spurs came back and shot 75% from the field while the OKC Thunder only shot 43% in the 4th quarter. The Spurs are now 9-0 in the playoffs, 19 game winning streak and have won 30 out o their last 32 game dating back to last season.

Celtics advance over Sixers

Boston Celtics close out the Eastern Conference Semifinals over the Philadelphia 76ers with a 85-75 victory. Rajon Rondo scored 11 points in final 4:16 left in the 4th quarter, just after guard Paul Pierce had fouled out of the game. Rondo finished with 18points 10 rebounds and 10 assists, good enough for a triple double. Once again we will see the Celtics and Heat go at it again in the Eastern Conference Finals tipping off Monday night in south beach.

Heat Bosh not Expected to play in ECF

Heat got Hot

The Miami Heat finally got hot in their past two games against the Pacers. They are finally looking like the team everyone expected to see, even without Chris Bosh.

The Thunder Rolls!

I do not know how this game finished with the Thunder winning. They were behind by 10 plus point since the beginning of the 2nd half. A surprising Kobe Bryant only had 7 point while being 2-10 from the field in the 4th quarter. The Thunder were down by 13 at the start of the 4th and persevered and it paid off.

It's almost like the performance the Spurs put on earlier today in the same arena against the Clippers. They had a 24 point deficit and came back and won the game. Now the Laker are down 3-1 for the series and have to figure out how to stay in this series. I think they have figured how to control this Thunder offense throughout this series. They did a great job at slowing the tempo of the game way down which eliminated the fast break opportunities for the Thunder. They kept the ball in the paint with Gasoline and Bynum and it paid off....until the 4th quarter. Westbrook and Durante combine for 60+ points. Westbrook kept the Thunder in the game am Durant closed it out for the win. Durant hits a clutch 3 pointer from the top of the key which sealed the win for them.

Lakers Guard Steve Blake and Wife Receive Threatening Tweets After Game

Lakers Guard Steve Blake and his wife, Kristen have received threatening tweets after Blake failed to hit the game winning 3 point shot in Game 2 versus the OKC Thunder.

This is just outright selfish hatred toward a player who should not be blamed for the Lakers' loss. I am in no way a Lakers fan and I do not and never will condone this kind of behavior. When fans express their opinions and frustrations to a person who was involved with their teams loss and express them as threats is flat out absurd and uncalled for. This is what happens when fans get too involved over a silly sports game. They should take a step back ask themselves who and why they are so mad. This kind of reaction purely based out of anger towards another. Its just like my son. If he did something bad that did nothing but anger me, then the wise thing to do is think about it, or sleep on it and react when you are not so angry. Any thoughts that come directly out of anger can bring out the very worst in people. Most people do not think about this kind of thing because they are so wrapped up in there anger which makes them make poor decisions in that moment.

MLB Playoffs Televised

It has also been announced that the o1 game wildcard playoff will be televised on TBS as well as the two division series match-ups will be switched from TBS to MLB Network which will leave out about 30 million unhappy fans who wish to watch the playoffs, including myself. Unfortunately MLB Network is not available for every cable company, and for those who do have cable must have an upgraded package in order to get the MLB Network channel.

This is very disappointing news. MLB will receive a major decline in television ratings because of thousand move because not everyone is subscribed to the channel. Everyone else who does not have the channel will have to wait until the League Championship Series to watch the playoffs.

New MLB Division Series Playoff Format Announced

It has been announced that Major League Baseball has changed their division series playoff formats from 2-2-1 (which was established in 1998) to 2-3. The wildcard winning teams will start the series at home while the teams with home field add vantage will finish at home with the last 3 games. The main reasons why the owners voted this way is because it eliminates one travel day and because of the implementation of the additional wildcat team. Now there will be two wildcard teams who will compete Ina 1 game playoff to play a division winner.

Michael Lochte's Motivation

World Champion swimmer and Olympian Michael Lochte reveals who is responsible for his motivation to become a great swimmer is his mother. Growing up Michael loved to swim and be active, but he also enjoyed goofing off and intentionally get kicked out of swim practice. Ileana, Micheal's mother, remembers watching Michael at his first swim meets beating out kids who were much old than him. Ileana said she remembered telling him that if he loves this then he needs to work at it and he will get better. Ileana also stated that she never forced him to swim, "he had to like it naturally." Which is how a great coach should be. P

People are speculating about Michael competing against the other Michael, U.S Champion, Michael Phelps. Lochte says he is not worried about that. He is not there to beat out anyone in medals. He is just going to swim and focus on what he loves to do and that is the only way he can perform his best.

Lakers/Thunder Series

I thought the Lakers/Thunder series was going to be compelling, but the game last night just proved how much more talented the Thunder are when compared to the Lakers. This team made the Lakers look like they were a high school team. To top it off, both Durant and Westbrook, the Thunders top two scorers didn't even play the 4th quarter. It will be interesting to see how the Lakers respond to the near 30 point defeat of game 1. What are the Thunder going to expect from Kobe Bryant? Either way, I do not see the Lakers overtaking the Thunder in this series. I will give it 5 games total, which would give the Lakers a win at home. The Thunder are just younger, faster and more talented than Kobe's Lakers.

Hammerin Hamilton

I know I am a little late but that is only because I created this blog today. Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers is on fire!!! One game last week he hit 4 homeruns! A feet in which only 15 other players have been able to do. He currently has 18 homeruns for the year and 44 RBI's, a 14-game hitting streak and he is on pace to win the triple crown. I know it is only mid May and the season is young but if he continues this streak then the Rangers will easily make there way to another third straight World Series appearance.

Josh Hamilton has hit 9 homeruns in one week, which is 9 homeruns in 6 games. He is averaging more than 1 RBI per game and USA Today just released an article stating that the bat that was used for hitting 9 homeruns in one week is now going to Cooperstown for the baseball HOF. The bat finally cracked in his last at bat on Sunday night in their 13-6 victory against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Interestingly he used a pink bat in the first part of the game for breast cancer awareness. Ironically he struck out in his first 2 at bats with the pink bat then decided to go with his original bat in the 7th inning. Now I guess we will just have to see how he does with a new bat from here on out.
